Get Away from the Ferry Traffic
The outer sounds are a different world from the Picton waterfront. Fewer boats, no big ferries, sheltered coves that actually feel quiet. Bloody idyllic on a good day. The trick is getting out there from Havelock rather than Picton - far less boat traffic, and the coastline you'll see is just as good.
The Mail Run is the Move
