You pay 5$ by transfer to account.

There is flushing toilet, small sink and drinking water (althought tastes funny). Good facilities for the price, but the spot itself is quite scary in the nights and smelly. Many birds.

Nice spot to begin our 2 weeks in NZ via campervan.

Host was really friendly, views were nice, quiet at night and facilities available (sink, potable water, flush toilets)

Also one of the cheaper spots we came across.

Pleasant stop with good supply of fresh water and clean toilet block.

No beach access from what I can see. Very cheerful camp custodian. Would recommend this quiet stop over and reasonable at $5 each a night

Quite a basic site but does the trick.

Caretaker came by around 7pm to collect the $5 and was very nice. I was the only person there so was a bit uncomfortable at first, but the caretaker reassured me the locals keep an eye on anyone coming and going in the night.

A nice and quiet place, with nice views of the river, sea and mountain.

Birds sanctuary not to be missed.

    Nice stay.

5$ per person per night or 20$ for one week! Flushing and very clean toilets available. Only downside is that they are not lockable.

Sunrise must be stunning there! (unfortunately was cloudy that day)

Caretaker explained about 4 different security cameras along the roads what made me feel very safe.

There is a lady right next to the campsite selling jewelry for a charity. Worth checking out as each necklace only costs 5$ and supports people with their recovery.

This was a beautiful spot to stop.

Only $5 per person. Flush toilets with hand basin and soap. The caretaker was very friendly and happy to stop and chat. It was easy to find and there are two options to camp in, one down the bottom and one up the top along from the caretakers place. A quiet place where you go to sleep with the crashing of the waves.

The other reviews seem to be old as there couldn’t be found any caretaker.

A lot of signs lead to the caretakers house which was uninhabited. The view from the place was great but the surrounding seemed were not giving a feeling of security. The toilets are public. Wouldn’t use this lonely place if you are a bit afraid.

Lovely campground next to the sea and toilets are well maintained.

There is an upper and lower level where you can park. The caretaker is very friendly and we paid $5 too.

Not free and actually costs $5 a car, although still a bargain!

Toilets are really clean and well maintained and the caretaker is super friendly.

Cheap price, worth the cost you pay with clean toilets.

Beach was not exciting, it was hard to assess and was polluted with car ties.

    Not free!

It costs 5$, to be paid at the orange house. Information about fee well hidden at the toilets wall. Toilets can't be closed. Campground is near to the sea.
