Super annoying, the road is completely closed to Mistletoe Bay due to damage (therefore no access to the public) and there’s no mention of that here.
I also called in advance to this campsite to try and register in advance and their voicemail also doesn’t say it’s closed, nor did they ever call me back.

Lovely off the beaten track spot.
Narrow gravel road down into the Bay. Overhanging gorse scratched our perspex caravan windows which was a pity as could have been easily maintained. Clean ablutions, friendly managers. Good cellphone signal.

Paradise!
All the reviews about showers being dirty I do not agree with. It’s super clean.The place is fantastic, shower and kitchen facilities are clean too. I had no problem with the hot water running out. If you take a quick shower and use water sparingly like the eco village suggests, then there are no issues. Can jump off the jetty and hire SUPs and kayaks to cruise around the bay. Coffees available and snacks/essentials at the front office. Considering this is well out of the way from anywhere it has a lot more to offer than many of the other campsites I’ve been to. Great walks nearby too.
Honestly mint as experience.

Lovely place.
We stayed in meadow with our camper. Very quiet area. The kitchen is very clean and you can sit outside.
Shower costs 2 NZD.
You must take your trash.

The side is really pretty located with direct access to the sea.
The kitchen has not enough hotplates and there were no utilities at all. But the worst: The facilities are really dirty. I think the showers were never cleaned befor.

A small and uneven camping area with a lot of patronage in the summer holiday season.
The access road is gravel, narrow, steep and winding with several potential bottlenecks for opposing traffic. Facilities are well maintained although stretched in a crowd. Vanners are discouraged from filling water containers and there are no facilities for dumping grey or black water. Easy access to the sea for a dinghy or kayak. $2 showers. Lots of walks from the bay and a very safe swimming beach (with stingrays). Campers also need to beware of losing small items to the persistent wekas.

Lovely inlet setting.
Campsites ($32) are set back from the waterfront, so obstructed views from the car. Nice jetty and picnic tables next to the water. Saw stingrays from the Jetty. Paid extra ($2) for a hot 5min shower (we just shared). Nice walk directly from the campsite to a lovely lookout (no paid pass required).

Excellent site run by very nice people.
Mid October was quiet. That's not always true so worth checking. There's a flattish area near the sea or a few more spaces up a slope where we went. Very peaceful. Good facilities, showers were fine, price entirely reasonable for where it is. Some good glow worms nearby. The Onahau walk has great views on the way up and wonderful views at the top.

Fantastic site and even better location.
Idyllic. Good facilities, superb setting, great for Queen Charlotte track. Friendly and welcoming warden. Don't be put off by other reviews whinging about price and shower time limits. Folk need to get real. This is 2016 after all and this site would be difficult and expensive to service, being relatively remote.

This is a good place to relax on Marlborough Sounds, or as an overnight if walking the Queen Charlotte track.
It's $16 per person per night for an unpowered camping site, hot showers are $2 (although it was baking hot and we just had cold showers). The kitchen had good gas rings and a large fridge-freezer, but limited plates, pans etc. It's about 1.5 km down a gravel road, so really peaceful. Sometimes the people running the place were away for a few hours at a time, meaning the shop would be closed on an ad hoc basis. More information about the water taxis would have helped. The stars at night were better than we saw at Lake Tekapo!

I really liked the fireplace in the kitchen. If the campsite had a power site it would be a 10.

Lovely site and location.
Sheltered. Quiet in early November but school children were in the cabins. Adequate facilities but showers were expensive and ran hot and then cold! Also kitchen, toilets, showers and laundry were very dirty which was off putting and not acceptable given the price! Cafe was shut although we were given a free coffee on arrival. Overall loved the location but unlikely to return as so dirty.

Expensive camp, plus you pay a lot for a shower and the washing machine cost was excessive.
There were little utilities in the the kitchen. The amenities are new and clean with good views.

Very different campsite.
:) Eco indeed :).
Nice facilities and lots of space.
Right next to Mistletoe Bay (duh!), which is soooo cute and private and beautiful.
Great swimming (and HUGE stingrays).
Surprisingly expensive (15$ and by the time I accepted that because of all the facilities it turned out to be 2$ extra for a shower :)).
If it hadn't been for the extremely nice owners, I would have turned around and walked away :)
But luckily I didn't, because it was great!

It's a very quiet place close to the water.
Beautiful location with lots of tracks. Kayaking the bay is great. Showers a too short and expensive, however that's a minor detail.

$15 per person, nice toilet facilities, $2 per shower, but low water level.
Kitchen is okay, stunning views and direct access to water. Campground is on the way to Queen Charlotte Track. Huts are available, no contact to owner, honest box.

The camp site was beautiful and definetly worth visiting, but there was very little information available there about activities or local areas to visit.
