Information

Large waterfront site on a shallow bay great for boating and swimming. Choose a waterfront site or bush clearing to camp in. Walking, cycling or boat access only.

The Davies Bay Camping Ground is a back country campsite along Queen Charlotte track, about 1.5 hrs walk from Anakiwa car park.

Notices

Camp shelter closure and toilet block maintenance

The camp shelter at Davies Bay is closed due to major repairs and maintenance and is unavailable for use.

There is also maintenance happening on the toilet block in the back area meaning limited access to these toilets. The toilet next to the Queen Charlotte Track near the beach is available for use. There is still plenty of space for camping and picnicking.

Gorgeous, little used campground with a magnificent view of Queen Charlotte Sound.
However, it has the most disgusting toilet I have ever seen and that is saying a lot!!
