The hosts were absolutely lovely people.

The camp site is very private, just a small garden hence the restriction for camper van size. There is a beautiful small beach in short walking distance from the house through a narrow path in the woods, which also feels like a private beach as it is only reachable through such small paths that come from houses near by. The small toilet was spotlessly clean and the water tastes good. The only problem we've encountered was the lack of a camper power plug. There is only a "normal" nz plug available, which we could not use as we didn't have an adapter.

Amazing views and a friendly host.

It’s their back garden, not really a campground. Nonetheless, the views are great, appropriate amount of space and VERY clean facilities. There’s a shower, toilet and 2 sinks (one for bathroom, one for cleaning dishes). The water is clear and great for drinking. There are also 3 sockets if you need to charge your electronics.

Keep in mind: the driveway to the garden is very steep and you have to turn 90 degrees while in the middle of the hill. Definitely doable for a car and maybe minivan, not too sure about a camper.

    WHAT A CAMP SPOT!

We stayed here last night and goodness me, Peter and his amazing camp spot did not disappoint! The only thing we should have done was arrive earlier.

It’s very conveniently located, close to a number of beaches. We spent the day at KariKari beach and Maitai beach.

This spot has everything you need, having a shower, toilet and outdoor sink felt like luxury, never mind the amazing view and private beach!

Peter and his lovely wife were so accommodating despite the last minute request and were so friendly and welcoming.

I was glad to hear Peter had some Irish roots ☘️

We were also very lucky that Peter had a successful catch the morning we left and very kindly showed us how he guts the fish and gave us 2 snapper fillets to take away with us.

We would 100% recommend this spot and will definitely be staying again should we be in the area

We spent a night there and it was very nice.

The owners were super nice and helped us with our fishing equipment. The shower and toilet were clean. There is an extra sink for washing dishes and also a few sockets where you can charge your devices. The view is also very beautiful. Within a few minutes you could go to a small, secluded beach and there is also a gas station nearby where you can get an ice cream.

We will definitely get there again

We spent one night at this wonderful place.

The shower and the little bathroom was very tidy. You have also three sockets, where you can charge your devices. The owners were very nice to us and help us a lot. There is also a little beach 500m away, which is also very beatiful. We would definitely visit this place again. 10/10
