The approved camping area has moved further along the lake (east) and was full when we got there.

Hamurana Reserve is now marked as no camping, The location is picturesque, there is a toilet and water fountain, but the location is pretty much just a carpark between the lake and the road.

    Stay for 1 Night.

Clean toilets, no showers as described.

Swimming in the lake not health due to the Blue Alge. Relativ quite pace close to the road. Not too much traffic during night time.

Officer was very friendly to control the place and check up of the cars and camper for self contained vehicles license.

Dark, Quiet parking lot for 6, on the lake.

Some trees/bush shelter. Working Flushing toilet close at hand, and while not immaculatly clean, not disguesting either. Would return :)

There is now a no camping spot sign, but other than that the spot was lovely!

Beautiful views, plentiful space and clean toilets 😁

    Great little spot!

No facilites other than a toilet block and a dustbin, but the 6 freedom parking spots back right onto the lake, giving lovely views. Signposts say overnight parking permitted 6pm-9am, but both nights we arrived at 4.30pm with no worries.
