Nice campground at a beautiful lake.

No running water, but toilets and campsite are clean, no sandflies.

    Nice, quiet, and clean campsite.

The campsite is not a big one but perfectly situated by the lake. Swimming is a must, especially on those hot summer days. There are two clean wooden long drop toilets equipped with tap and lit basin, which regularly cleaned by a caretaker (cool and friendly guy :)). He welcomed us in the afternoon and provided us with information leaflets about the area. We'll definitely come back again!

Not quite as nice as nearby Ash Pit road campsite.

But it's smaller with more nooks and crannies in amoungst the trees, if that sort of thing takes your fancy. It seems to be well maintained over summer, but less so in the off season.

Smaller campsite than Ash Pit Road - you can walk between the two.

This one is near the road so there is traffic noise when it is busy. There are several areas for camping surrounded by trees which do give shelter. Boat launching is not as easy as the Ash Pit Road site.

Lovely clean campsite next to a beautiful lake.

Friendly volunteer came to take payment. Very quiet, great location for geothermal attractions. We had a quick dip in the lake while the sun set :-)

Poorly maintained...a lot of evidence of vandalism.

Could be a very nice place but needs help. Rubbish piled high.

Poorly signposted, full rubbish bins (seemed they had not been emptied in a long time).

Honesty box for payment smashed. Overall it seemed poorly maintained.
