Beautiful spot by the beach just off the main road.
A little bit of traffic sounds but not too bad. Toilets open all night. Trees, beach and a creek. What more could you want. Limited space though, seems to be only spots for 2 vehicles. There is tent camping here though. No rubbish bins as is standard with Northland beaches.

We stayed here in our self-contained Toyota Estima for one night.
There was room for a couple other vehicles here but you do have to be careful about blocking others in. Also, you do have to park right beside/behind the toilets so it does smell really bad which is why our rating is low. The view is lovely though as you are right on the beach! We met some lovely people while staying here too.

Stayed here for one night with a van and tent, camp is located just outside Whangarei and is on a nice little location.
24 hour toilets which were clean. Nice safe camp spot. Nothing around the camp so be sure to grab what you need for the night. Great spot for fishing with great views of the water

Nice spot by the shore.
Arrived at 10.30 at night and still space to park up. Difficult to see signs in the dark so make sure you turn left in the site and park to the left of the toilets.

Nice small site.
Good view on the water. Only room for a couple of vans. Public Flushing toilet. In hind sight, we should have kept driving towards the Whangarei heads where there were some other nice camp sites too.

Loved that spot.
A little bit away from the road, right on the water with beautiful views. Toilets were modern and super clean. Room for 2-3 vans.
