Very remote and quiet location.
Space for c15 RV’s. Can get a nice sunset or sunrise over the lake, and also a nice boardwalk around the lake for a walk / run (c6km). Only drawback is limited facilities - toilet was a long walk from the camping site.

Freedom camped for one night.
The grassed area was full but stayed down the other end at the car park by the toilets. Toilets were compostable. Clean. No showers. Great view of the sun setting.

Great little spot for self contained freedom camping.
There were lots of spaces to park and we arrived around 8.30pm at a guess if say it would fit 15-20 vehicles.

A beautiful view.
Long drop loos at one end. No shower. Lovely walk on a boardwalk and gravel track for 6km around the lake ending up at the car park again.
Parking is not level and there is some on grass and some on asphalt.
No bins except for doggie doos.
The lake is supposed to not be swum in but it has a rowing club on it... No motor boats.
We had a night of howling gales and a wind free night but we weren't blown about. A quiet spot for 2 nights.

Two different space to park, one next to the toilet and the other one a little bit further away at the edge of the lake.
Verry nice and calm. Clean drop toilet. Phone signal ok

Beautiful spot close to Hamilton.
Bathrooms a short walk away, and the site has a picnic table and (sort of) covered bbq/cooking spot. Arrived at 7pm on a Sunday and about 4 open spots left. There are also habituated ducks that people are feeding which is a bit sad but they are cute (pls don't feed them!). Rubbish bin on site is small and overloaded so be prepared to pack in/pack out.

Decent place to stay for a free night.
Plenty of space in the gravel and grass to park, but bathrooms are a bit of a walk and there is no running water. A bit buggy, but was a peaceful spot right next to the lake.

Lovely atmosphere, pettable goose. Also has a BBQ and a Toilet (toilet 10min walk away from parking lot)

This place is decent, but not much more than that.
The restrooms lack running water, but they're usable if necessary. Keep in mind they are a bit of a walk away, approximately 300 meters. There's no water source here, but you do have access to a public BBQ area and a lovely view of the lake.

Lovely spot and perfect for a night.
Loos must have been redone since last visits as they neither stank nor were dirty. They are a bit of a walk but with a torch you’re ok! Highly recommend.

A quiet and peaceful place to stay.
Space for about 10 vehicles on the gravel but there is space on the grass too it just looks quite wet. The toilets are a long walk up the driveway from the freedom camping bays but you could probably park nearer to the toilets without any issues. We didn’t walk it but there’s a lakeside path for walking or cycling around.

Very pretty to sleep next to a lake - beautiful sunset spot.
You get mobile data out there too! Public toilets are a fair walk away & share the space with local fishers, dog walkers etc so expect millers about
