    Arrived close to dusk.

Only one other campervan on the site. We sensed the man and his dog may be living in the camper permanently. Lots of space to park up. Toilets were clean. 2 toilets. No showers. We had a lovely swim in the river. Nice house up on a hill overlooking the site which made us feel safe.

Toilets are only the facilities - flushing toilets and running water.

No hot showers or BBQs. No phone reception. Beautiful spot right on the river next to a boat ramp

    Great location.

Allows 15 campers. The two toilets are clean and have soap and toilet paper. The toilet is the only facility, hence no water tap, no trash bins, etc. You must collect your trash and throw it out elsewhere. The place is used by locals during the day for jetskiing and motorboading, so there is occational engine noise, though they stop in the evening. We camped on a Saturday and Sunday, and there were plenty of space at all times.

    This is an amazing spot.

There were only 2 other campers there. So quiet at night, toilets with soap and toilet left by locals that flock there during the day with their boats and jet skis. My fav river spot .

Great view, a few flat spots for parking, flushable cleanish toilets and not super busy.

Mostly locals doing watersports so fairly busy and noisy during the day with loud music, wakeboarders, jetskis and speed boats. Despite the sign there were a few tents and dogs roaming free,l. Water doesn't seem swimmable but that didn't seem to bother anyone. Not much shade for parking on hot days but pretty cool setup for being free

Such a nice place on the beautiful lake.

Only people there that night on a massive field with heaps of room. Two flushable toilets. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Not well known to tourists, it is quite a good experience to have nearly only Kiwis around you.

Boogie boarded with some friends on the really calm lake. Dams around it are impressive!

Great spot, very quiet and sheltered on Valentine's Day 2015, flush toilets very clean.

Overlooked by some kick ass houses, no cell coverage. Small beach at North end looks great for swimming, boat ramp at South end for entertainment. Woohoo no skiing allowed mmmm peace! Dogs allowed, great parking for large vehicles. We'll be back, not as many birds as Mangakino hence a 9.
