Only 2 spots that were already occupied when I came in.

But came back in the morning for the showers, 2 of them, clean, cold water but quite intimate (open showers but with a wooden privacy screen)

Just 2 spots for selfcontained Campervans.

View is amazing, direct beach access.

There are toilets but door cannot be closed, there is no light in the dark, no toiletpaper. Outdoor shower available.

It’s just a parking lot at the beach access that has an outside shower and public toilet attached to a boat club building.

There is a restaurant amongst the houses that border the parking lot also. Sign says 2 spots for parking campers but I think there were 4 that parked that night nobody came to check but it was Xmas eve. Was free so it did the job.

Great place, but the photo shows the wrong spot.

Only park next to the freedom camping sign.

    01Oct18.

A car park by the beach. Toilets but not 24hr. Cold shower in open. Free!

9/10 for what it does. Nothing special but an ok place to keep costs down.

Right on the beach, but you can hide from the weather behind the parking lot wall.

A quiet area during the winter, but it’s next to the boat club so it may not be so much in the summer! Great view across the bay.

Great relaxing place, really enjoyed the sound of the beach waves as you sleep through the night.

Pretty shame that it’s only allowing camping 1 night only though.

A perfectly decent carpark site, quiet out of season.

Relatively sheltered from quite strong prevailing winds. No light in the loo, and that horrible scratchy loo paper I remember from childhood. Take a head torch and some soft quilted for some home comfort.

    Clean toilets.

Cold shower available. Really nice restaurant/bar. We stayed one night and were the only ones there. The beach is beautiful and saw an amazing sunset. Ideal stopover.

It's free and nice all the same, but it's it's also better, and free 2 minutes down the road at the Waikanae River Mouth.

I would only stay here if the River Mouth is full.
