An old working farm that is now gifted to the people. This place is makes for a great overnight stay.

    Remote location and yet not to far away from mod cons. Two families getting out of Auckland for a few days before Xmas day and before the Xmas rush. Outside shower, long drop toilet (very clean) water taps placed around the grounds and also free BBQs . Fresh water stream. Natural surroundings, beautiful scenic views of land and water. Definitely return. Thank you Auckland Council for maintaining the amenities and grounds.

    Beautiful, remote campground.

    Facilities very basic, with longdrop toilet, open-air cold shower and drinking water. However, everything clean, and with an awesome beach. You can watch the sunrise over Coromandel from your tent! I'd definitely recommend it.

    This is an awesome campsite which unfortunately is not now available to motorhomes.

    There were just 6 motorhome sites on the beach front, well out of the public use area. The camp sites are further up the hill and motorhomes are not allowed there. The new motorhome camp sites are far away from anywhere.

    The beach is very tidal but when the tide is in its lovely swimming. Good kayaking area.

    Only an hours drive south of Auckland, the Tapapakanga beachfront campsite is a beaut.

    Park up right on the beach amongst ancient pohutukawa trees. Check out the historic homestead and choose from a variety of walks that meander around the park.
