We arrived around 19.00 and got a nice spot, even though we didn't book upfront.
The ladies that welcomed us were very friendly and gave us some tips about what to do and see. Facilities are very clean.
The farmers market is very nice to go to at sunday morning. And after that you can have a drink at the brewery nearby. Lovely city!

The positives....Lovely surroundings and location right next to beautiful gardens and children’s playground.
Very nice 20 min walk to town. Friendly helpful staff. Free DVD loans. Mini golf was great, tricky and each hole has a local theme. Lovely hot showers. Kitchen clean and adequate. Free BBQs. Kangaroo jump and tramp were great. Clean bathrooms that seemed a bit warmer and more modern than others we’ve come across. One negative was the trains in the night but fine once you know what they are. We stayed an extra night.

Great campsite with all the usual amenities and then some.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well maintained. The bathrooms seem to have been recently renovated so are very modern and clean, my only complaint would be that there are only two showers and two toilets per bathroom which isn’t much for such a large campground.

Hi Ben & Liv
Thank you for your feed back. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us & found the staff helpful. Yes our ablutions are at a very high standard they are used as an example for other parks to view for ideas before doing their up grades. The Gardens are amazing with all the Monarch Butterflies at the moment. Glad you enjoyed your stay

My husband and I arrived at Oamaru Top 10 at dusk, about 8:30pm, which we thought was absolutely fine.
there was no-one at the office but there was a note on the window which said "if you arrive late, just take a spot and pay in the morning". We didn't have a tent or campervan, we needed a room. There was a bell that my husband rung and a lady came up behind us and my husband said "sorry to bother you, but we are in need of a room for the night", he is always very polite. The lady was absolutely so rude and mannerless! She was mad that we arrived at that time, which we had never experienced before. We had arrived late at other places before and had never experienced such rudeness from anyone. There was a spa there which closed at 9pm but didn't even want to ask as she had alreay bit my husbands head off. If you want to run a business where you have to work with the public, being absolutely rude to guests is NOT a good if you want to make a living! She was obviously not a people person so I have no idea why she would want to run a camping ground. The room was ok, the amentities were good. Disappointed that she made us feel like we couldn't ask to use the spa though. I wouldn't recommend Oamaru Top 10 and won't ever be staying there again.

Top showers (best in 5 weeks around the country).
As indicated there are extra toilets and showers near the reception. Kangoroo jumper and trampoline (they set it straight 😉). Facilities are great and very clean. Reception closed at 7pm but free spots were well indicated on a map. Few permanent recidents but not the messy ones. Next to the road and the railway, but it didn't bother us. Had a good sleep.

Stayed for two nights as close to town, but not 10 minutes as claimed on Rankers, more like 20-25 minutes.
That said the warden was friendly and helpful, the pitches were in good condition and all numbered which always helps. The toilets and showers were clean and well maintained and the kitchen well equipped but a bit small.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Heated and modern shower/toilet block.
Kitchen area tiny and the kids playground area very muddy. Too many permanents though make it feel like a caravan village instead of a holiday park. It was very muddy and sites close together.
