Helpful, friendly owner and easy check in.
Good wifi. Facilities were fairly old and very cold but overall not bad. Laundry facilities were alright although our clothes were still wet coming out the dryer. Would recommend.

Smooth check in process, got a nice private patch for our unpowered van.
Clean toilets and quite clean shower, no complaints here. Facilities are quite old, but clean, we used the kitchen and the washing machine with no issues. Bit of an unusual atmosphere, maybe because there is a lot of long termers? Lost a couple of points because of the sheer amount of signs around laying down the rules, written in sharpie on the walls and all! All in all, very good and would recommend

Good campsite, the place is a bit dated but clean although I washed everything I used in the kitchen beforehand as it felt a bit dirty but that would be down to other campers.
Good size kitchen and a TV room plus bbq and laundry facilities. It's right next to a main road so there is alot of traffic noise. $35 for a powered site all in all a nice campsite.

We arrived at 8.30pm and the friendly owner was able to give us 4 powered sites in a row. Has all the facilities needed. Hot showers! Clean bathrooms and a laundry. Fresh water at most sites and a couple dump stations available. I would definately come back, mainly because the lady was so nice!

This sure is quite small and well positioned bear the beach, which I appreciated.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped and we were grateful for the lounge area, as it rained a lot of the time we were there. The toilets and showers were clean and wifi really good. Unfortunately it's beside quite a busy road and so I was woken by some heavy goods vehicles passing through during the night. The constant rules written around the site about check out time and codes of conduct made the place feel less welcoming and friendly sadly. The spa was very over chlorinated which was not pleasant at all.

Loved the friendly native wildlife (Weka) running around and had everything we could possibly need.
Also awesome to deal with our lateness in coming in. Only down side is how close it is to the highway, which was a bit noisy but could also have been the time of year. Hearing the waves crashing as you fall asleep was also neat.

Not a bad little spot, $40 inc showers and wifi for a powered site for 2!
Right across from the beach. I just thought there were a little too many signs reminding you of the rules. I get that you're running a business and that check out was 10am but it was just everywhere you turned and kind of became a bit intimidating and slightly passive aggressive. The morning of check out we made sure we set and alarm and were packed and out of there so we wouldn't get in trouble making it a bit hard to relax. I think it is a great little spot but a fine line when dealing with people who are on holidays and a bit of trust in us wouldn't hurt.

The park has a bit of mud around but solid concrete drives for motorhomes. Sites would be a bit tight if place was busy. Too many permanents to feel like a holiday park but ok for a night. Be warned though that it's a good few km's out of Greymouth... although Domino's will deliver!

Spacious, green camp spots for campervans.
Large, very well equipped kitchen and a great lounge room attached. There is another warm and cozy lounge room next to an indoor spa pool. Costed 35NZ$ for 2, unpowered, but we were very much satisfied. Beach is within a rock's throw distance. No sandflies... the list goes on. Recommended!

Thanks Paul. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. We charge $17.50 per person for an unpowered site (which includes the showers, toilets, kitchen TV lounge, spa pool and unlimited WIFI). The onsite laundry does cost $3 for a wash and $4 for a dry.

Very poor.
The lady at the office is so unfriendly. We never had that before. At the end of our stay she wanted us to pay for a seven month old baby. That was when we left that camping ground.

Hi Stephan. I am a very friendly person but when I am trying to get all the cleaning done and someone has not vacated their unit by 11.00 and don't seem to be in any hurry (check out is 10.00) and then I find that they have a young child that they omitted to tell us when they checked them in and were asked how many people there were, it challenges my smiling capabilities. By not telling us that you had a child when you checked in, makes it very difficult for us to be able to account for everyone that is staying with us in the case of an emergency, which is required by law.

Not as dog 'friendly'as implied.
We were put in the sunless part of part...no morning or evening sun...our dog was not allowed anywhere else on campground with us. Facilities were clean and some spots looked amazing. Being so close to beach I would have thought a night of listening to roaring ocean sounds was upon us but unfortunately we were just metres from train track and very busy highway instead! Good base for 1-3 nights??
