Couldn't recommend this camp more!
Unbelievably kind and caring owners who helped check me in on short notice after having to be towed to Murchison. An unpowered site is only $15 and you can park up right by the waters edge which is incredibly peaceful. I had lovely chats with the wonderful owner and her fully self sufficient life style is something to aspire to. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

A lovely quiet place to stay with friendly owners.
$30 for a non-powered site for 2 people for one night. Unlimited nice hot showers & laundry facilities for an extra cost. A great kitchen with a really lovely spacious covered veranda to sit on by the river to eat, chill and socialise! The only thing I’d say is prepare for lots of midges and mozzies since it is right by the river, not that this can be prevented at all! Just bring some strong bug repellent

$35 for powered site and could choose any free spot. Kitchen is amazing with a beautiful view of the river. Only thing is the $2 charge for a shower but I suppose that makes up for the cheaper nightly rate. There were many bugs around so ensure your have bug cream or spray. $2 per washing and dryer. Would def recommend and return if I ever get the chance.

We weren’t planning on staying in Murchison, but it was getting late and the area we were planning on staying was still an hour away.
We are so lucky we came across this gem. The water hole was just what we needed at 28 degrees, got to pick our own tent site and had the option of bush or water front, facilities were well kept and clean, showers were thought out with the payment box inside the shower cubicle.

Great spot to spend the night.
The owner was very welcoming and we were able to choose our spot to park up. Kitchen is fully equipped, cutlery included (we had our own bits but nice to see this). Only down side is you had to pay for the showers, but they still work on cold for free which we didn't mind. Would be a fun spot over summer when it's warm enough for swimming.

We arrived at night, the place is well signed and the owner really lovely.
Maybe due to the time of the year (13th Sept 2020) it's empty so we could choose where to park our campervan.
Kitchen is well equipped and clean. Toilets and showers ($2 for 10min) also clean.
Lots of birds and the river is just right there. I'd recommend!

This park has everything every other park does- except everything is better than any park we have visited.
Location: we walked to to town one day, biked the other. Location, location, location!
Campsite: you pick your own site. Need I say more?
Kitchen-eating facilities: amazing kitchen and utensils. But when you sit down to the table to eat on the deck overlooking the river, and you’re having a conversation with a person comfortable on one of the couches or sofa, you realize not many parks offer this setting!
Showers / Bathrooms: clean and plenty! Never have to wait.
Swimming hole- with a red one to swing and jump from, rocks to dive from, and great sandy bottom for getting out. Awesome!
Bikes: free use of bikes and helmets; at least 12 bikes to choose from. Just grab n go.
Trails: not good on the kiwi names, but a trail that is part of the park takes you on a 20 minute journey thru great NZ old growth vegetation and trees!
Owner: Robin will keep you both informed and entertained. We visited the museum, six mile hike and a great pizza. And he has plenty of stories!
Overall: We showed up and booked one night. We left 3 daze later!
