A lovely spot for a night or two.

Plenty of space even if 6-8 others are there. Toilets are well graffitied, but adequate. A lovely swimming spot in the river, and an enjoyable river walk.

Lovely big grassy area beside a stream with fire pits.

Not much road noise as the traffic was non existent. Toilets but no paper and could do with a clean. Beautiful area though.

    Very very basic.

Just by shallow part of river. Campfires possible. Toilets no paper not very clean. Flyfishers seemed to enjoy the spot.

Basic DOC camp but nice enough.

Near the main road, but we only heard river running & then the rain at night... Toilets available but not too clean. BBQ pits. The sound of the cuckoo at night was lovely!

    We stayed in December.

Nice little spot right next to the river but also to the street.

A longdrop and untreated water. Surrounded by many mountains but not too dark. Good spot if you like fishing.

The Manganuku camping ground is quite a gem.

Very close to the highway makes for great access. The only downside is traffic noise, which due to the babble of the nearby stream, isn't too pronounced at all. Very much worth a night or two.
