Rotorua Family Holiday Park
Our friendly holiday park is situated a short drive from central Rotorua in a quiet location with no sulphur odour. We are within walking distance to Lake Rotorua.
We offer tent and power sites, standard cabins, self-contained 1 and 2 bedroom units and motel units.
Amuse the children at our playground with netted trampoline, TV/games room and from November to May our solar heated swimming pool or hire our spa pool.
For the keen trout fishermen/women our camp is only a short walk or drive to some of the best fishing spots in the area. We have an on site Fishing Tackle Shop and sell Fishing Licenses.
Facilities are non smoking and our showers do not require coins to operate
Pets are welcome upon arrangement.
Information is available for all local attractions and we are happy to help with bookings and recommendations.

Really nice park, friendly owner, all the facilities were spotless.
Showers are completely free and have changing cubicles attached.
The washer and dryers are very efficient and theres a clothesline too.
Would definitely visit again.
If you’re into fishing there’s a huge selection of equipment in the office for sale.

Affordable powered site (40 NZD vehicle plus 2 adults).
Guy at the reception very friendly. Amenities are clean. Wastewater dump station and potable water refill both for free. Hot showers was great.
All that you need to have a break from freedom campings. Kitchen was well equipped, for example with bread toasters, just a nice extra.

Schöner kleiner Campingplatz in der Nähe von Rotorua.
Der Platz ist sehr gepflegt, die Duschen sind sehr neu. Küche und Waschmöglichkeiten, beides gut ausgestattet. Gute Anbindung an alle Sehenswürdigkeiten.

An awesome place!
We stayed two nights and loved the amenities. Showers, toilets, kitchen and laundry facilities were super clean. Showers free, unlimited hot water, washing machine and dryers able to take big loads and actually got things dry in the one hour cycle! The kids enjoyed the pool and playground and our wee dog enjoyed his off leash time on the nearby playing fields. We were in a stoned powered site so with the little bits of rain we had we were dry under food with no mess being dragged through the caravan. Close to the Zorb and Luge experiences. Hosts are super friendly and we would definitely stay again.

Der überaus unfreundliche Mann an der Reception gab uns den 10% Rabatt nicht, weil er angeblich schon tiefe Preise habe (nicht günstiger als Andere in der Umgebung).
Trotz dem App. Er will die 10%-Save-Aktion auch nicht löschen lassen, hat mich auf diesen Hinweis hin angeschrien. NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN!

Great spot, short drive to town (although not a lot to do there) and good facilities despite the men’s shower room having works done so having to use the ladies.
The toilets and shower rooms are separate so slightly inconvenient. Friendly reception staff.

Nice holiday park close to the lake.
Friendly staff/owner and clean facilities however my boyfriend thought the men's bathroom was a bit dirty and didn't have any soap to wash his hands.

WiFi included, 1gb data. Washing machine for 3$, very clean facility, warm shower. Really enjoyed our stay there! Didn't use the kitchen, there was an oven and a fridge. You can load your phones in the TV room. Very nice owner!

Owner was super friendly and had a lot of advice for the surrounding area.
You can also buy tickets for different attractions with a discount on site. Shower have no timer and we're nice and clean. Bathrooms are a bit on the small side, but we're clean. Kitchen facilities also on the small side but everything was clean. There were a couple of bbqs free for all as well. There is a living room area with TV and a couple of couches. Intenet is free and with a good speed. There is also a swimming pool and a hot tub. The Rotorua lake lake is 3 minutes away. And it doesn't smeel like sulfur in this area! Great place to stay

Really have to give it up to the people running this place.
Called as they were closing, as we couldn't find a spot in the Rotorua area, and they waited for us to show up ~30 minutes after they had closed the reception area. Good facilities: kitchen with toaster, fridges, a bbq area outside. There was a TV room that I didn't get to try out, a playground, close to the lake with a gorgeous purple sunset. Hot shower and wifi included in cost of $12 per person. Wifi connection was good. Showers and toilets in separate buildings. I recommend for you to call and book with them.

I'm not sure why this place has such a bad rep.
The owner was extremely friendly and kind. The facilities were old but clean and we got free wifi and nice hot showers. Furthermore it was quite cheap compared to other places.

Great customer service from office.
Facilities are clean and modern. Showers hot and free. Neat park with unlimited free wifi which worked anywhere in the park with good speed. Family bathroom required a key with $20 deposit, it has a kids bath. No real issues and it got a 9 because Rotorua smells like rotten eggs and you cannot hide from it. But all parks there would be the same.

If you want to stay around Rotorua e.g.
to participate in some of the various activities it is a reasonable place to stay. Formally nothing can be said against the site: all facilities were clean and tidy and everything needed is available. We paid (in the off-peak season) only 30 NZD for a powered site and 2 people, with showers and free WiFi included.
However, most of the sites are occupied by permanent residents who have partly built houses around their caravans three times as big as the caravan itself. If you want to see nature or a nice view it is the wrong site for you.

Staff makes prices like they want to it seems...
first it was 30$ for 2 people just 5 min later 34$.....no nice tent sites at all. Camped between the cars of the Bungalow renters. Too expensive for my taste.
Regarding the prices, we do specials at different times and if you happen to come in for a price and do not book in and come back later some times the special has finished as in this case.I personally think $34 is very reasonable compared to other holiday parks and maybe if this is to expensive for your taste as you state then you should be freedom camping with NO facilities. We do have nice tent sites on flat land and honestly you sound like you have a gripe because you missed out on the special after going to another camp for a price then coming back here. We couldn't find any Freecamps around Rotorua, so we ended up staying at this Holiday Park.
It's a small camparea in very short walking distance from the lake. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Facilities are a bit old, but clean. Our kids enjoyed the big playground.
