We had site number S9 with superb views of the beach.
If we had a Lo get power cord we could have parked our caravan on the grass, as the dusty site made the dog and out mat suiting area a bit dirty… unfortunately it is quite exposed to the wind, but the views and sou d if the waves made up for it. Shower cubicle number 5 was definitely the most powerful with endless hot water…:-)

We booked last minute during school holidays but were pleasantly surprised that it felt relatively quiet.
Great free hot showers and nice location next to the beach.

In short: to expensive.
The staff (Deb) seemed annoyed to do anything for us. The driveways where bumpy.
The kitchen was nice, but some cutlerys and pans would be nice for that price.

Top notch quality, not cheap but worth every dollar.
Wonderful location by the beach, clean facilities, hot showers, playground plus bouncing pillows for kids and adults.
Planned only one night, ended up extending to 2 to fully enjoy the place. Highly recommended if you want to pamper yourself a bit.

Epic location and very tidy modern facilities.
A bit on the high side of the price range for a camp site but you can see why. Much cheaper than the $250 fine for camping along the beach. Receptionist was super helpful

Powered campervan site - turned up without a reservation.
Helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful location, clean tidy site. Good hot showers. Very windy night added a bit of excitement. Great. Thank you.

Wonderful view! Expensive but with good weather worth it. Swimming in the sea though was not so nice, due to many algae and some biting insect in the loose sand - but definitely not the responsibility of the campsite :-)

We stayed here in August 2015 in a large caravan.
The facilities were spotless and plush. The setting was right on an amazing beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely restaurant right next door, and to top it all off, dog friendly too. Great stay.

As of April 1st (Honestly) this is no longer a Top 10 location.
We were however given and equivalent discount and free internet by the very friendly staff. It is a big campsite and one day was very wet so we did not do a lot. There are stores close by and a good kitchen and showers close to the powered sites anyway. Convenient to all the local attractions and only 12 km from Mt Manganui, which we climbed

Get a pitch for your motorhome with a sea view.
We did and were rewarded with our best motor-homing stay in north and south islands: loads of room between vans, wonderful to hear the breaking waves on stunning beach and to see the sun glistening on the water. Friendly staff and fellow campers - but the latter all go to bed at 9pm. Peaceful bliss! The only complaint: management must enforce their admirable 'no dogs' policy.

We camped in our tent beachfront late February 2013.
Life here at Papamoa could not be better!!
The facilities are absolutely fantastic, the ladies facilities are a delight - spotless bathroom, beautifully tiled walls & floors, with ample clean hand basins & side tables & ample hooks for hanging gear.
The kitchen was also great with spectacular view of the beach what more could you wish for!!
WE WILL RETURN!!

we have a better WENDY now..(please dont confuse the two!!) who loves her job and cant believe how lucky she is to have such an awesome team and place of work!! Truly Stunning... come and see for yourself!
