20May24.
2 adults on powered site for motorhome. $40. Very nice lady in reception.
Key fob entry and exit.
A big park. All grass, as far as I could see, pitches but they held up well considering the rainfall.
Free WiFi. 10gb for 5 devices over 7 days.
Good toilets and showers. Showers on 5 min timers with 100 seconds delay before more hot water. No delay on cold!
Good kitchen. Didn’t try the laundry or other facilities.
Play equipment for youngsters.
Very close to beach, the ocean was evident all night where we were.
Clearly a very good family holiday park.

We paid 46$ for 2 persons in a powered site.
Really good facilities with toilet, hot shower, Wi-Fi, BBQ and a kitchen with dishwashing liquid.
Some of the sites was not all level, so our camper was placed a bit higher in the back.

Nice location, camp ground, beach.
Definitely go for dinner at the Cove restaurant.
Close to Waipu town for supplies.
Facilities are clean, but the only reason it doesn't get a 10 is they are a bit dated. Would stay here again though.

Lovely, clean campsite.
Right next to the beach which is a very long and nice beach where you can make nice walks. It is a big campsite with several private bungalows but well organised so you are not included in their center as it is in other campsites (especially in Whangamata/coromandel where it is horrible).
We had a bungalow with kitchen and private bathroom so we don't know for the other amenities in the camp. The bungalow was very well organised and furnished with everything you need, very comfortable and with a nice veranda with table/chairs. Good heating as it was in winter. Very quiet even if it was NZ holidays. They clean and take care of the camp very frequently when we were there. Great location, great bungalow and really nice staff. We stayed 3 nights in July 2020 (french couple).

Just over the sand dunes had a powered site, just next to a sand dune beach entry. Facilities at this site were exceptionally clean and well designed. We also used the washers and dryers in the laundry. Very good value. The beach was beautiful and we had a great walk and long safe swim.

10 plus from us.
We found this great place on our way back from North to Auckland by coincidence. We wanted to stay 1 night but stayed another one. It's a big well maintained camp ground with a very few permanent campers and some local families. Others are surfers. The beach is directly behind the dunes. Wonderful. During low tide great place for kids for playing and swimming. During high tide quite high waves, many surfers. The pitch was first row behind the dunes. During the night we could hear the waves. Facilities as big kitchen, all weather room, toilets and showers (.50cents) very clean and tidy. There are 2 playgrounds. After about 30 nights in NZ it's the best camp ground we have stayed at. Thanks for this nice spot.

Great campground.
It was the start of December so not many people around. Nice site right behind the dunes and close to very clean and tidy amenities. The fish murals looked awesome. Went down the road to the cove restaurant/bar which was world class. The food was to die for and great service to match. Very unexpected. We were just going to drop in for a drink and were so glad we stayed for dinner. Best in NZ!

Found this park by accident heading to another.
Glad we did as it's one of the best we think. Gated access, bright information, rich office with friendly helpful staff. We took a powered site for 2 nights, the site was grass but despite heavy rain - no mud or puddles. Amazing surf beach right by camp (2 minutes walk - line of dune protect camp & and sun rise over beach...)
Clean well equipped facilities, clever mural on middle facilities giving seafood limits... and best each shower has its own instant hot water heater...50 cents a shower and worth ever cent! Great cafe real close... The only down side being the high pressure of the shower, (yeah) with no shower curtain. ..u have to work to keep your gear dry;)

This was the last campsite we stayed on after 50+ nights camping in NZ and we liked it so much we ended up staying for three nights.
The location is great as it's right next to the beach, but it's sheltered from the worst of the ocean winds. Sunrise was worth getting up to watch. There was a nice covered eating area next to the kitchen. $38 per night for two people on an unpowered site in March 2016. Hot showers were 50 cents for 5 minutes.
