We rented from Kia Ora campers and had a wonderful trip around the South Island of New Zealand for 14 days!
The camper was well equipped with everything you need included. The chilly nights were not a problem with the warm bedding supplied, even the pillows were comfortable! The inclusion of everything you need was really appreciated!
Steve was responsive when we had questions and we would both recommend and rent from them again!

Our 3-berth Sprinter was fabulous! It was our ‘home’ for 5 weeks around NZ’s South Island and didn’t disappoint. We had lots of storage space and camper was very clean and in excellent condition.
New Zealand’s roads are perfect for campervan driving - it was a joy!

This year we returned to New Zealand and rented a campervan from Kia Ora Campers for the second time.
The personal service from Vicky and Steve is beyond expectations, really great.
They respond quickly to emails and resolve any issues quickly, if there are any.
The total package they offer is very comprehensive, so you can travel safely and well-equipped.
The campervan was of high quality, very well maintained and spotlessly clean.
We had the Mercedes Cascade 4-berth, a nice spacious campervan with big windows. We used the portable barbecue they provided every day. The handy powered drop down bed on the ceiling is a nice invention and handy that you don't have to make and take down your bed every day. The awning is also very nice for sunny days, but also handy when it is not raining too hard. You can still sit outside.
We had 4 fantastic weeks on the South Island and hope to return in the future. We will definitely book with Kia Ora again and recommend them to anyone who wants to travel in New Zealand with a campervan. Our big compliments to Vicky and Steve.

Nous avons passé 8 semaines (19/3/24 - 10/05/24) à voyager dans le camping-car Mercedes Sprinter de Kira Ora de Christchurch à Auckland sur environ 8 700 km.
C'était notre première expérience en camping-car et ça a été fabuleux !
Nous avons trouvé Kia Ora Campers par le site Rankers NZ. C'est une vraie entreprise familiale et ça fait toute la différence dans les contacts et le service. Du premier contact à la restitution du véhicule, Steve et Vicky ont été de très bon conseil et se sont toujours rendus disponibles pour nous assister et répondre rapidement à toutes nos questions de débutants. Ils ont rendu tout simple et convivial.
Leurs véhicules sont propres, bien entretenus, très bien équipés (BBQ, haut-vent, panneaux solaires,…) et avec tous les petits accessoires qui facilitent la vie en camping-car, rien ne manque ! Le Sprinter est facile à conduire, assez puissant pour bien rouler et confortable.
Nous avons été pris en charge aller et retour à nos hôtels ce qui est un vrai avantage.
Côté prix ils sont également compétitifs en rapport qualité/équipements/ prix. Je recommande vivement !

Communications with Steve and Vicky the owners/managers of Kia Ora Campers were excellent both before and during the hire.
Any issues were dealt with promptly. The condition of the van and its contents were outstanding in particular in comparison with our previous hire of a motorhome from a large company. We had the van for 9 weeks and the supply of gas and toilet chemicals were easily adequate for the duration. The Mercedes Sprinter van was very easy to drive and the much needed heating was very good.

I'm not going to tell you about Kia Ora and the very good reasons for using their services, as others have already done so before me.
I'm not going to tell you about Vicky because we haven't spoken to her yet. I'm not going to tell you about Steeve, or his friendliness, joviality and good-naturedness, or even his openness when it comes to talking about his magnificent country and giving you tips for your itinerary around the South Island. I won't even mention their website, which is very well done and full of information. I won't even mention their very competitive rates. I'm not going to tell you about their responsiveness in responding to you and reassuring you before you arrive in New Zealand to prepare for your trip. I won't mention the fact that you'll be picked up from the airport on your arrival and taken back to the airport on your return. Nor will I tell you about their vehicles, which are functional and well thought out. No, I'll tell you about what was essential for us during our trip from Christchurch: Steve's availability, support, seriousness and empathy during the difficult moments we encountered during our journey. In fact, when you have problems because of the indelicacy of people who have previously hired the vehicle (a three berths motorhome Sprinter) for which you are responsible, Steve was incredibly present to support us and try, from a distance, to solve our problems. It's said that New Zealanders are amazing people, and Steve is the perfect example. For all these reasons, and perhaps others that you'll discover, we highly recommend Kia Ora!

My husband and I did a 10 day tour of the South Island in March 2023 in a 3 berth.
We had contacted a number of companies and ended up booking with Kia Ora due to the fact that they included so many things that other places charged extra for, such as a GPS unit and chairs.
Our experience was wonderful. When we arrived at their depot in Christchurch, Vicky walked us through how everything on the campervan works. Too caught up in your excitement to hold on to that information? There was a very simple, but thorough manual in the driver's side door that explained everything as well. Everything inside worked wonderfully and it truly felt like our home for the duration of our trip.
I will say when we arrived, there was a crack in the windscreen almost at the driver's eye level. Vicky was extremely apologetic about it, as the people renting before us only told her when they dropped off that morning and she hadn't had a chance to fix it. I only bring this up because of how absolutely accommodating they were in trying to get it repaired around our trip schedule, instead of insisting that we change our plans to get it repaired.
We could not have had such an incredible trip without Kia Ora and their well taken-care of campervans. Thank you so much for helping us have the trip of a lifetime! If we ever came back, we would not hesitate to book through them again.

Vicky & Steve did all they could to provide us with suitable camper van despite being the busiest time of year. We had to change vans because of availability towards the end of our booking, but the changeover was very easy and we ended up with a larger, more comfortable van at no extra cost. The vans were very well equipped and proved very reliable. Vicky & Steve responded very quickly to all our many queries & questions. G and J Campers highly recommended.
