Waikite Valley Thermal Pools is a unique place to go to experience the ‘Living Waters’ of Waikite Valley. With ten pools to choose from, ranging in temperature from 35 – 40°C, there is something to suit everyone. The main splash pool is ideal for the family or you can truly relax and unwind in peace in a private spa where you have the luxury of being able to control the temperature of the pool. In addition to these great options there is a passive bathing pool, a tranquil garden pool and a covered pergola pool. Take a gentle stroll along the eco trail to Te Manaroa Spring or stay for a while in the adjacent campground.

C'est chouette de pouvoir aller dans les piscines chaudes.
Certains emplacements pour camping car sont vraiment petits, sur des gravillons, peu facile de mettre une table de camping, c'est plus un parking. Douches et sanitaires propres. Personnel sympathique .Un peu cher.

Beautiful location and value for money.
Wish they had more showers in camp ground as had to use the ones near the pool. Would also be good if cafe stayed open later as nearest food is Rotorua.

We loved this place when we came in 2014 and think we will always come back when we visit from UK. Make sure you go up to the somewhat scary stream outlet. Water coming out of the ground at 98degrees c!
Various pools and popular with the locals by the look of it and not surprising.

We got excellent customer service throughout, beautiful serene place rustic old world blend with the new world expectation of tourist experience. Quality product and service at an excellent price for campers. Will go again for sure.

This was recommended to us by our rental company.
Being able to stay in a powered site in a wonderful location was a real treat, but the pools were great. Staff were friendly enough and the pools are class. Even in winter it was amazing. Went dark early so great for stargazing and doing some reading. Bit annoying you have to pay for lockers. $4 for washing and $4 for dryer. Nice kitchenette area, and the pools are much nicer than the nearby Rotorua due to the lack of sulphur smell!

Waikite Valley Thermal Pools Camp Ground: 10/10.
Excellent! Arrived late, but they managed to squeeze us into the last spot. Camping fee includes access to the thermal pools too - great value as they can be accessed on arrival, as well as early on the morning of departure when they are quiet.

Perfect additional activity to a day in the Rotorua area.
Relaxing in the hot pools in beautiful surroundings! If you are camping there as well, you can ask to use the pools early in the morning! Best start to the day!

Loved this experience.
The thermal pools are amazing. No added chemicals, just pure thermal water. Great little walk up to the source and information along the way about the temperature and minerals present in the water. We had a spot overnight in the camping ground and were able to come in early in the morning before it is open to the general public. The water is dumped the night before and the fresh water is amazing. The way your skin feels after soaking in the water is to die for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a real experience of geothermal water. The only down side is the shower and toilet facilities could be updated and freshened up a bit but we just used our own in our motorhome instead.

We did this at dusk. It was our first contact with hot springs and we were so very amazed. Didn't really need to go to Te Puia afterwards as it was too commercial in comparison.
