A short Heaphy highlight

I've been to Scotts beach 3 times and had it to myself every-time (except for the ravenous Sandflys).
You get to experience some of the Heaphy goodness, without the multi day commitment.
I love this beach as it gives a mixture. On one hand, this is a wild, remote, lonely beach. Wilderness abound.
On the other hand it has an element of tropicana, with the palm tress and white sand (without the beach loungers - thankfully :)

You expect to see dinosaurs coming out of the bush. Views to die for.

Good clean DoC facilities.

Sandflies are absolutely feral. Take long sleeves, repellent and a flamethrower, but go there you will love it

Beautiful coastal walk on the Heaphy Track, hundreds of Nikau Palms, great waves and beaches all the way.
Toilets at Scotts Beach and Katipo Creek Shelter - go as far as you like and back.
