Ferry from airport to pickup and after dropoff to airport was seamless and fast.
Car pickup and return was fast for handovers before and after. Great recommendations for Mercedes tourer for 7 people with lots of luggage space to transport 6 large luggages and a few more odd size backpacks. Brakes on the Tourer can be better but ok after u adapt to the braking pressure

Dave & Cam were very friendly & helpful.
Top Notch Service
I booked the car only a day before I needed it. They were very accommodative over the phone and soon I booked it online, I was sent the confirmation email. Next morning Cam picked us up from the hotel and by the time we got to their base, car was ready for us. Dave took time to explain everything to us including all the features we could use during our trip. Cam suggested us couple of places to visit, when we told him where we were heading towards. Super good team. Car was presented excellently. We had awesome time in the convertible Mustang & loved every single second inside the car. After dropping off the car next morning, Cam offered to drop us back to the main Queenstown. Highly recommend Dave, Cam & Touchdown! We will surely re-hire from them when we come back for NZ holiday. Thank you so much 😁

The superb service from Ken at Touchdown started right from us being picked up an easy 10.
The car we rented was perfect and Ken explained all of the many features. We felt looked after at all times. The rates were very reasonable and we even enjoyed a lovely coffee from our hosts. Then the extra mile happened at the end of the hire, we were driven into town to get our bus, and finally I had left my glasses behind and I had tem posted to me quickly. If you are in Queenstown, please go to touchdown first, don't hire at the airport one of the big names, you will be glad you read my review.

Fantastic service.
Great location, very convenient as they operate out of Commodore Hotel so pickup and drop off is a breeze. Hired a Mini from them for the weekend, so perfect for the weekend away - wonderful car.

Queenstown, a special reunion of a US family for the weekend.
We landed at the airport Saturday evening and--even with a reservation at a famous car renter for the next day--discovered that no one had any cars left for hire. It was also Marathon weekend--we hadn't known. We did find a list on the wall that included Touchdown's phone. We got hold of Ken who was delighted to help us. I didn't want to drive at night so we arranged pickup Sunday. Ken and an associate drove up to Arrowtown bright and early to personally deliver the luxurious late model car (it looked brand new) and off we went to Glenorchy. It was a wonderful weekend of driving and sightseeing in style. Amazing service and hospitality. Kudos to Ken!

The Subaru Outback we hired is brand new, immaculate and drives superbly.

My Wife and I picked up the new Mustang from Touchdown for a weekend escape to Hanmer Springs.
Collecting the car was a breeze and Gavin had us on our way with the minimum of fuss. Not having to queue at an airport Kiosk is great and I am sure that tourist drivers appreciate not having to negottiate Christchurch airport's carpark as their first experience of New Zealand driving.
After dropping the kids at home we set off on the highway north, the Mustang eager to stretch it's legs and careful attention is required to ensure the speed limit is respected. This immaculately presented vehicle drives so quietly, the speed you are travelling is quite deceptive.
Returning the car was just as simple as the pickup, no fuss and were on our way.
If you are looking for stress free rental cars in Christchurch (they offer the same service in Queenstwon too). You cant beat the top class vehicles and genuine service at Touchdown. 10/10 from us!

My partner and I hired a Mini Cooper from Touchdown over the recent holiday period.
Absolutely fantastic! 10 star plus. The car was immaculate, the check in service was superb. They even dropped me off after I returned the car which saved me a lot of hassle. The car was perfect for our needs, as there was only the 2 of us and a reasonable amount of luggage for 2 weeks.
The car handled exceptionally well and it made the drive to the West Coast from Christchurch a lot of fun, the compact size was brilliant for taking advantage of miniscule parking options in Queenstown.
Excellent car, excellent service, excellent holiday! will use again!

WE have used Touchdown Car Rentals twice recently in Queenstown and they have been outstanding.
We received a new Subaru Outback for a very good rate and they came to the airport to deliver the vehicle and had the paperwork all sorted so we could jump in and drive away! Being a smaller operation you get personalised service, and when combined with staying at Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel - same ownership - the whole experience is just fantastic! Will use Touchdown Car Rentals every time we are in Queenstown and need to hire a car!

I had one of Touchdown's mini convertibles for 3 days.
Fantastic car, in excellent condition, loved zipping around the city in it. Thanks so much for the help and support from the Touchdown team. They were very efficient and obliging when I needed the car dropped off and had excellent customer service.

My partner and I hired the Mini for Queen's Birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better car to zip around in in Christchurch.
It was convenient and simple to get a shuttle from the airport to pick up the hotel and vice versa. The vehicle was well looked after and in perfect condition.
