Upper Lucys Gully Carpark
It's a tight driveway up, suited to smaller vehicles. But Lucy's Gully has a couple of nice camping spots beneath the trees.

Keep driving until you reach the spot, it does take abit of effort.
We arrived about 7pm, it was dark but felt warm because of the tall trees, however I could not hear any nightlife. The toilets are flushing ones which was really good to discover. No reception there at all.
In the morning I heard a chopper overhead, then a car raced up. Once we emerged from the van. We began talking with this guy, he seemed abit odd and asked us if we knew of the stories of this place while smerking. Thankfully a DoC ranger came up and interrupted this weird interaction. However she told us that there was currently a 1080 drop happening. And looking around at the ground I could see the green pallets. We hurried out of there in no time.
Like overall it was ok there, but once was enough for us.

Didn't feel super safe - had vehicle's coming and going and someone decided to use a chainsaw in the wee hours of the morning ...
probably because it's so close to town. Beautiful spot though

The spot is beautiful between the giant trees.
We were the only ones camping here, space for around 5 vans. Two long drop toilets, no toilet paper. There is a tap for water (not for drinking) but with very low pressure. We had no problems driving up the road with our small campervan

My family of four with 2 little children arrived here after sunset in winter (late June) and our campervan was the only vehicle in the middle of dark redwood forest with no reception of mobile or internet
. So we decided not to stay here overnight. Toilet was very very sad, a can of beer also left in there. Felt unpleasant. However, it would be a lovely spot to spend a few hours during the daylight I suppose.

A bit sad to see all the trees cut down on the drive up, however up the top was perfect for us.
We laid in the grass after sunset and it was the best night sky EVER! The toilets were in a state however.... hopefully this is not a standard for this place.

Very nice spot, but only for van sized vehicles.
Narrow road to reach this place. Has 2 flush toilets. Sheltered, very quiet and secluded. No cell phone coverage. Beautiful redwood walk with lots of birds to look at.

We arrived late at night and was one other vehicle there.
Creepy place at night. Lots of noises like possums hissing. Trees falling down on vehicle . Beautiful in the light of day.

Good place for walking and chilling out under the big Redwood Trees when it's hot.
It's a very tight road in a larger vehicle. Best for van sized campers. Space for around 4 vehicles max. It seems like the sort of place where local youth congregate on a weekend for a kiss and a cuddle.
