We are possibly the most highly recommended rental car company in NZ. Well over half of our business comes from returning customers, their friends and family.
Due to the time we spend on each rental - making sure our cars are maintained and presented to the highest of standards (for example even treating all glass surface with water repellent) We do all we can to make sure you have a stress free visit to New Zealand. We usually have a minimum rental period of 7 days (and can be more during summer and over the Christmas Holidays). Exception is of course made for our regulars.
We are based in Christchurch and mainly do Christchurch to Christchurch rentals. Although can help with one way rentals, with pick up or return to other locations.
We do our best to help make your holiday a fantastic one. We provide without charge, free rental of NZ mobile phones, NZ SIM cards (data capable), plenty of maps, tourist brochures, child seats and many other items. In winter, we have snow chains and ski/snowboard racks for a fixed per rental charge and will even demonstrate how they work. We even do Rice cookers. Think of me as your Local here in New Zealand, if there is something you would like just ask, I'll see what I can do.
In addition to renting out GPS navigation devices, we were one of the very first companies in NZ renting out mobile internet devices (for those who need internet connection wherever they are, even in the car). These devices act as personal WiFi Hotspots wherever there is mobile phone reception. We charge a small rental charge and whatever the phone company charge for the data you desire.
Another handy option visitors fine helpful is our camping gear. From complementary Chilly Bins, (Eski or cooler bin) and chairs to sit and enjoy the scenery or the stars, to tents, cooking gear and plastic tubs. Saving you the expense and inconvenience of buying your own, and not to mention more plastic winding up in the land fill when you leave for home.

We honestly were sceptical about all of the good reviews about this company, but we were so blown away by Vaughan and Valentine's service.
Before even getting to NZ, I had a call with Vaughan where he gave some awesome suggestions for our trip through the South island. So friendly and willing to go well above what you would expect.
The car was in amazing condition, and the camping gear that we borrowed was literally brand new. Having the camping gear changed our trip completely as well and took such a load off our minds.
The flexibility of Collecting the car in Picton and dropping it off in Queenstown was trip-changing for us. Not to mention they brought us the car directly, and dropped us off when we returned the car. No uber trip back required. Vaughan brought the car to us at the bus station, and Valentine dropped us off at our accommodation after getting the car from us in Queenstown.
We would recommend them to everyone we possibly could.
It was so refreshing to deal with someone who was honestly there to make your trip a good time.

Great experience 2nd time with Anzed.
Communications were clear and helpful. Picked up at the airport and also dropped us off at the airport.
The car we rented was big, spacious and reliable. We had no issues driving around the island for 10 days.

We are very experienced with car rentals and have never had a better experience with ANY COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!
Vaughan was compulsive, service oriented, devoted and passionate about providing a personal experience with a South Island flair. Despite 140,00 Km/ 64,000 miles on the odometer, the Nissan performed perfectly and despite the roadwork and unpaved backroads with potholes, we had no problems with the tires including good gripping on rain slick roads. I can’t recommend Anzed highly enough!!!

Good service, although there was a misunderstanding at pickup & we had to call Vaughan to collect us, rather than being at Airport on flight arrival.
Vehicle went well, was great for transporting our bikes. Had a broken cup holder, so one coffee had to be consumed before hitting the road. Great drop off in Queenstown only 5 min from Airport.

Excellent service and excellent vehicle.
Vaughan was very quick and efficient when I asked for a rental car to be available on the same day as my request. The price was extremely reasonable and the insurance cover great. The car drove perfectly for the two weeks I used it to go around the South Island. I then received a complimentary airport drop off at the end of my rental period. I would highly recommend Anzed.

So refreshing to deal with a smaller company, where you can speak to a real reasonable person and no long wait times.
Service was brilliant, sorting paperwork easy as, and everything went as advertised. Also price point was what I wanted, ie a slightly older (cheaper) economical Demio. Highly recommend

Phenomenal customer service! The bigger car hire companies should take a step back and learn from these guys. Vaughan and team went well, well out of their way to help us with our rental vehicle needs accomodating our bikes we had with us too. Communication prior to booking and during stay was amazing. We rented a Lexus ES 300 from Teddy for approximately two weeks while we toured the South Island.
I had first made contact with Teddy months beforehand and he was patient as he discussed the pros and cons of various vehicle choices given our itinerary and the type of car we typically drove, answering questions about insurance options, and arranging for a phone and personal hotspot wifi, etc. When we arrived, Teddy picked us up from our hotel and, after taking car of the rental contract and explaining the rules for driving in New Zealand, he loaded us up with maps and tour information for all parts of the island, activated our phone and hotspot, loaned us a cooler (chilly box(?)), portable chairs, a thermos and cups, and much more!
Although approximately ten years' old, the car was in impeccable condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. In fact, at one point during our stay, my husband remarked that he thought that car handled better than mine, which is the same model but several years' newer!
Teddy's customer service is also impeccable. I have already mentioned the service prior to us arriving and upon our arrival. However, mid-point during our stay, the personal hotspot stopped transmitting. We finally figured out that it was out of pre-paid data (those turn-by-turn directions really eat up the data!), and tried to add more to account, but were unsuccessful. I didn't realize it until after I had called and left a message that it was a Sunday evening (the days of week are somewhat meaningless when you are on vacation!). However, Teddy called me back that evening and was able to fix the issue on his end, then followed up with me the next day to ensure that everything was working correctly. Teddy also worked great with our car relocation service providers, making it feasible for us to do some of the one-way hiking trips that wouldn't have otherwise been possible! I recommend Anzed Rentals and Teddy without reservation.

Thanks, Vaughn, for the fantastic service, that started our unforgettable holiday, with the 3 grandchildren.
The spacious and comfortable Van gave room for each to have their own window to view the amazingly diverse scenery, from the Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and Aoraki / Mt Cook, as well as the Hooker Valley tramp. They also counted the rabbits. This trip has opened a window of how little we saw, that we will come back to experience more of the South Island.

My husband and I recently rented a car through ANZED Rentals and were met at Queenstown Airport (as requested).
Hi
When hearing we would be doing a road trip (as far as Moeraki and Southland) and prior to our arrival we were offered an upgrade. This was such an un-expected blessing as it made our trip more comfortable.
The vehicle had previously been "dented" at the top of the wheel hub (near the bonnet). This was declared to us and it certainly did not compromise the vehicles safety (just feel for the organisation as parts and repairs will take longer than usual - due to Covid-related supply delays).
On behalf of my husband I would like to thank you so much. Communication was top notch and we were kept up-dated and informed throughout. Before taking us back to Queenstown Airport Valentine asked if we would like to do some last minute shopping - lovely gesture but sadly there was no room left in our suitcase!
I would highly recommend Anzed Car Rentals. Thank you very much.

Great rental company!
Happy to put up with and answer my many questions before hand..... But I need not have worried, everything was smooth, great communication, lovely friendly guy and awesome little car to travel the South Island in.

Great personal service, My flight landed and when I switched my phone back on message immediately received to let me know Vaughan was waiting.
At hand over Vaughan took me through a brief demo, car controls, indicators etc and while I would have figured it out pretty quickly I appreciated his care and attention to ensuring I understood everything.
Great price for the 4 days too compared to other rentals I have used previously. Will definitely use again and have already recommended to others.

We rented a car from Vaughan a few weeks ago and he did not disappoint.
It was exactly what we needed. He always goes the extra mile to deliver excellent customer service. I have recommended him in the past to a couple of friends for their South Island holiday and my friends came back with rave reviews. We will definitely be using ANZED again.

Amazing service!
