Founders Park is a cosy place and a very interesting place to visit.
You see how the city looked in the old day. It was a bit expensive compared to the size and experiences in the park.

First half of Founders Walk was well signed but then we ended up on a suburban street.

We enjoyed this very much.
Well set out and fascinating exhibits. We learned much about early settlers to NZ. We went on a Monday which was quiet but trains run on Sunday (staff friendly).

Sadly all the stores inside the park were closed which they did not tell us at the entrance.
For $6 there is not very much to see. Only the brewery is great. Good beer tasting for $12.

We visited on a week day and wanted to see the Bristol Freighter.
fter paying our $30.00 , we discovered that the plane was being repainted and out of bounds. Would have been better if the management had made it clear the plane was off. Disappointed, we then wandered about the place only to find most buildings were closed. Even the electric trains etc required a coin to operate. Bit of a waste of our money basically. So be careful folks, make sure the place is open fully.
