Nice place to stay, small and cozy.
Hot showers, amenities are clean, wifi is good. Wastewater dump station on site.

Has everything you need - hot showers, kitchen, nice toilets, free wifi.
Good spot in town close to everything. Nice & quiet also. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice spot with hot showers and WIFI.
Only downside was seeing 29$ for 2 people (powered site) promoted as the « Winter offer » and still paying full price (42$) …
Hi Etoile Unfortunately our gas and wages costs have gone up significantly over the last 3 years so we can no longer offer our winter specials. We are still the lowest (equal) price in the area.

Nice simple campsite in Franz Josef.
Small en suite cabins with sink, toilet and shower. Basic kitchen with BBQ outside. Good value for money.

Nice wee campground.
Limited parking so would book if coming at a busy time. Shower & toilet facilities are lovely - there was even a hairdryer provided! Right in the middle of Franz Josef so great for accessing activities there or just having a wander around the town.

Great price, even cheaper than DOC campsites nearby and better amenities (hot shower, kitchen etc).
We didn’t need a powered site but still cheaper for a powered site than other campsites nearby. Very clean facilities and friendly staff.

For family travelers, beware!
Although DOC and most private sites such as Top 10, etc. do not charge for infants (less than 4 years old) this one does as per full adult!

42 dollars in the middle of winter when there is supposed the be a “winter deal”.
Owner was out of town and they could do nothing..
Hi Ricardo, I am sorry you were not happy with our prices, at $42 for a powered site we were the cheapest option in our remote area. I am not sure why you expected the price to be different to what was advertised on this app, I am sorry if there was any confusion. Unfortunately like most people the costs of gas etc have gone up significantly for us in this remote location

Awesome place - friendly, helpful and so reasonable for a powered site.
Best spot I’ve found so far after tripping around in my campervan for 3 weeks in the South Island. Wifi, lean amenities - perfect!

Free showers.
Great pressure. Clean.
Kitchen very basic. You have to provide everything.
No rubbish bins anywhere. Not even in the kitchen.
Dump station very narrow.
Gave us 2 sites as we were a 6.9 camper which was very nice as we didn’t want the site beside the road.
$29 for 2 people powered which was a really good price .

Clean with all equipment functional, high pressure warm and clean shower,hair dryer, clean toilets.
stove, microwave, toaster, bbq, electric kettle,wifi. Coin operated laundry.

Wasn't a fan of this site.
It's just a gravel car park and its expensive. Wifi doesn't reach the lounge. The lounge is a concrete floored room with some tatty sofas. The bathrooms look like they're from the 80s. It's impossible to wash your face over the sink which means the floor gets soaked.
I am sorry to hear you did not fully enjoy your stay. Guests are welcome to check out the facilities before deciding to stay.

Not the best site in NZ.

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. We are right in the centre of Franz Josef allowing you to park up and walk everywhere, unfortunately we can't control if some visitors to the region want to go on a flight to see the glacier. Guests are welcome to look at the site before deciding if they wish to stay.
