    Amazing.

We stayed on the right hand side and enjoyed the place almost all to ourselves as the camp tries to keep things spacious and not packed in. We had a private stay surrounded by Manuka trees. The weather, the views, and the lake were all stunning.

I was blown away by our stay, I've never experienced a commercial campground like this, it was perfect for us.

    What a great little hideaway.

Amy (the host) was very kind and answered all my questions quickly. We stayed at the lookout which had a wonderful lake view and felt very secluded. Lake was nearby, but cafes were not… so we cooked our own food and we’re fine with it. Wi-fi was not working for us and shower $ was provided. It was a great fit for us. Beautiful land Amy, thanks for letting us stay!

Lovely amenities too. We got a very friendly reception and got a beautiful lookout pitch. Highly recommend

On arrival, we were allocated a power space which was awful even though the whole camp was empty.

It was covered in the bushes and the only thing it did have a view of was a massive caravan full of screaming children. We moved to another empty space as it was so awful.

Toilets and showers were very clean and the site is large but we moved for our next 2 nights as it just wasn’t for us otherwise. It’s very expensive for its location and what you get.

We were also a bit annoyed as on arrival, the man in front is us asked for unpowered but was given powered for free as an upgrade whereas we had to pay for our powered site.

It’s not much more to stay in town at nicer more central campsites so would recommend that.

Also the FAQs on their website are super weird and rude frankly.

Really beautiful place to stay at.

Very private large space for your tent or caravan. Probably the best we've seen so far. Kitchen wasn't so great: a bit tight, but clean. 3 BBQs freely available. Showers were 1$ for 7 minutes which felt very reasonable! Lots of biking options from the campground. boat access. Good crowds. Bike to the Pembroke Patisserie in Albert town. Just no playground for kids.

    Beautiful natural campground.

Sites a good size. Stunning views of the lake and mountains and birdsong all around! Lovely owners. Only $1 for a 7.5 min shower, plenty of time to shave your legs! Enjoyed a walk along the Clutha river to Albert Town where there is a great pub and Pattissiere. Can either walk to Wanaka or it’s a quick 10 min drive. Will definitely be back!

This is by far and a way the campsite to stop at in Wanaka.

If you want a site near town this is the one. But hard to find but right on lake and the powered sites have the best views, just breath taking of mountains and lake.

The site has mountain bikes to rent, we had our own which meant we could bike the lake side walk to town, 7 km of view after view. You can also bike the other way down the river, also fun and a great walk too .

Quality site, good facilities. Big but not a holiday park, just friendly family place.

    Would recommend to anyone

We booked for two nights and left after one - never done that before.

If you like dogs and noise till midnight you'll do just fine, otherwise find somewhere else. Not a lot of facilities and the whole place is plastered with notes of what you should not do. Did not feel welcome at all.

Definitely one of my favorite campsites on the South island.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great view of Lake Wanaka. Paid 50 bucks for one person on a powered site for 2 days I believe. Facilities were always clean, warm shower cost was one dollar.

You can walk to Wanaka on a scenic track that starts at the end of the campsite. There is also a direct connection to the Sticky Forest MTB park which is one of the largest in the area. One downside is that there is no free Wifi, vouchers can be bought at the reception or online.

We were there just before New Year so the place was packed!

We were accommodated for but missed out on a powered site. Ablution facilities were kept clean which was impressive considering the volume of people! Water and cooking facilities were easily available but $50 for two people seemed a bit too much for a non-powered site and located right on top of other campers.

We escaped to the Lake for a bit which was the best part!

The setting is great. Facilities are just what you need. And hosts were very welcoming. A gem of a campsite in a gem of a town
