It was top notch, the facilities were second to none and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Close enough to Wellington to see all the sights.

Great spot.
As a country bumpkin I’m not typically into city camp grounds or Top 10 style camps but this one is spacious, green, lots of trees, well laid out and great, clean facilities. Families with kids would have a blast here - plenty for them to do. Will definitely be back!

A good spot for those visiting Wellington.
$50 for 2 people for one night on a non-powered site. It was quite busy in early December with lots of kids playing but quiet at night apart from the odd siren. Great kitchen, dining area and bathrooms. The showers are unlimited time and amazing rain showers!
The bathrooms were a little untidy with water all around the sinks, the bin was full to the brim, paper towels ran out & toilets a bit dirty so would be nice for them to be checked & cleaned more often.

This was adequate for a close stay for the ferry but nothing pretty going on in the grass section we stayed on.
We were in a self-contained area that was one big green field so no features to park up to for some privacy. The views were high fences that looked on to industrial buildings.
There was a nice misty view of hills to the North East and the facilities were clean and functional.
The most expensive and unremarkable stay of our trip.

Honestly if you hope to get a free spot in the City to catchthe ferry, you should really be there early noon. We chose Top Ten and it had all facilities you wish for, it was clean and staff was lovely!

The facilities were okay and bathroom looked like they had been recently renovated.
Shower pressure was good. We reserved a non-powered site for our camper van and the area we parked was infested with flies. Once we opened the door, they immediately swarmed in. We probably close to 200+ flies in our camper van from just opening our door for a few minutes.

Well maintained park with decent facilities (showers could be a bit bigger or upgraded), a playground, a spa (not used), and next to an indoor playground for the kids.

First of all, the staff were totally fine and I dealt with two of them, so not sure what happened with the other reviewers here.
Didnt want to come here because of the negative reviews but other places booked out so we came here and its totally FINE! Pretty, peaceful, safe (no idea why someone disnt feel safe here?!), great little area for our two year old (big bouncy thing, a trampoline and the usual climbing, swing and slide stuff), and theres a games room. Its spacious and the pitch for our tent was just fine with zero peg problems. It's not the best site ever but absolutely does what it says on the tin. You will do fine here!

This place let's down the whole top ten chain.
* All tent spots have hard rock under the grass. You won't get a tent peg in 20% even with a hammer
* Rude and ignorant reception. This girl actually believes that company policy supercedes all govt laws. That's what she said when we were unhappy with our stay and only wanted the money back for the night we were not going to stay. The consumer law says otherwise to the top ten policies of leaving early due to their service.
* Facilities are only cleaned to a basic standard.
* Gaming room machines don't work and steel money. Only about 10% of machines worked. They have put up signs saying if your money gets taken then it's not their fault. It's actually their camp and their rooms, regardless of these machines being owned by a third party it is still in the top ten control of having non steeling and working machines.
* This place seemed to attract party goers in cabins. Be prepared to have music and loud partying all through the night. This makes it hard to take a child to the toilet as these party people also hang right outside the toilet blocks. This happened many times by different groups of people.
* Although not in the control of top ten, where this camp ground is situated it is a boy racer hot spot where you will have racing and burn outs in the middle of the night.
* For some reason the camper van waste disposal unit is in front of a kitchen and BBQ area. Yuck
* Prickles all over the grass everywhere. Your kids will need shoes on at all times.
This place didn't have many tents up and was virtually empty to people tenting. Probably due to the rocks and stones in the grass.

Very lush reception but that’s about it.
As a solo traveler, $50 for a powered site for one night was pretty expensive. I thought we were encouraged to spend local and help boost the economy but this is not reflected here. They’re squeezing every cent out of guests.

Not normally a big fan of Top 10 holiday parks as they tend to squeeze campers in with little room to breath.
but this one was a gem, large grassy site was a bonus. Bathroom was clean and tidy, rain head showers.

A bit pricey but there are not a lot of options around Wellington.

Typical top 10 - large, pretty decent sized pitches.
Good if quite old fashioned facilities. Convenient for bus into Wellington. Catch the 81 if you can because the 83 goes all round the houses and avoid the rush hour coming back because the queues are bad. But very easy to get into the city and see Te papa museum and the botanical gardens. Staff were very helpful with maps and information and change for the laundry.

We were on pitch no 3, just a gravel car park feel, the toilet block was not good, all around the shower cubicle was black mould and the shower trays did not look like they have been cleaned for a while
. Not sure what the rest of the site was like as we were only there for one night before catching a early ferry, but the area we were in seriously need some TLC, we would not stay there again. The reception area was very plush though,

Price and choice of facilities as you would expect from other Top 10 parks.
However, a lot of the facilities have aged rather badly. Parts of the park (unfortunately including the part we stayed in) feature so-so functional bathrooms, bumpy roads, campervan sites that blend shapeless patches of dead lawn into gravel spots, sided by picknick tables made of rotten wood a long time ago... and the overall flair of an awkward industrial town suburb.
Also had a mixed experience with the reception staff (comparing to what I’ve seen at other top 10s).
In their defense, other parts of the part look relatively nicer, so we might just have been out of luck overall

Showers and toilets are super clean, campsite is big. Many activities for kids, birds were quite loud in the night (only here? I don't know..). Kitchen with gas, oven and fridge. Only 8/10 cause of the high price. We payed 29$ pP for the unpowered tent site, Wifi included (1gb data every 24hrs).

Great facilities. Drenching hot shower cubicles. Laundry supplied with soap liquid. $4 a wash. Got a discount when we were within a few Km of the park via thl app so paid $51.70 for our fist night. A little pricey for what you get but I guess that comes with the location. Facilities are clean but the campervan sites were a little too close to each other for our taste and could be better set up. It's close enough to Wellington and public transport. We had an issue with our camper van and the staff was very friendly and helpful, which was great. The light industrial area next door didn't bother us too much but there was some noise travelling over in tge early morning.
