Site has an advertised warm pool which would have been only thing my disabled parents could have used.

Pool was freezing, tiny and had 70 kids in it. We paid for parents, after initially agreeing to refund they refused as we booked via bookme. They advised us that water would be closed at 6pm. So parents went home 70 bucks down and agreed to come back at 5.30pm. They then closed at 4pm. When I tried to email them that night assistant manager was extremely rude. Said good luck getting refund via bookme and sent a poster saying place closes 4-6pm which makes absolutely no sense. The park is under staffed with extremely dangerous currents, nobody was watching half the bits. Rope swing (unstaffed) goes over sharp rocks and kids did not need life jackets here. Death waiting to happen. Will never be back.

We did a private Glow worm kayak with dinner on our wedding aniversary.

It was amazing and peaceful.

On the last night our our NZ holiday we managed to squeeze in the Kayak glow-worm tour.

We are so glad we did!

As dusk fell the group (and nearby hungry ducks!) munched on crackers / cheeses and wine while the kayaks were readied.

Then began our dark paddle up lake to the boat tour.

We were beginners, but the pace was fine and there was good banter amongst the three kayaks.

The glow-worm experience was very beautifull.

Then a dark star-lit paddle back.

Thanks to the guys who were great guides and capped off an exceptional holiday in NZ
