Great friendly service from Keran and the team.
Everything was provided as expected. Airport pick up was smooth. Campervan was well equipped and in good condition. Highly recommended, would definitely use again.

Kiwi Autohomes is a great company to go with!
I did a lot of research on companies and was very pleased my with choice. They offered great customer service. Alister was our contact throughout the trip and he is such a kind man. He let us use his personal car to go get groceries as there was a mixup with our van, he also answered our phone calls at any hour of the day. He always went over and above, including a ride to the airport at the end of our trip.
The only reason we are going with a 9 instead of a 10, is because of lack of communication once the van was booked. I had to send numerous follow up emails. There was also a mix up with our automatic van, they only had manuals available when we arrived. We reminded them we had it in writing that we would receive an automatic van, they made it happen... but I had to push pretty hard and they didn't seem very happy about that.
The van itself was great. No issues, very clean when we picked it up. Very simple to empty the toilet and empty the grey water.
Overall, we highly recommend this company! If you're looking for a small company with personal campervan booking experience... go with Kiwi Autohomes! You won't regret it.

The campervan itself was old, 2005, with over 350,000 km, and did not have propane heat - some freedom camping nights were cool.
Bit the 10 rating is richly deserved because of the people. Phone calls were answered by a real person, small glitches were dealt with promptly, one matter requiring a mechanic was managed efficiently. And Remko, our man in ChCh who met us at the airport, went miles beyond! Friends of ours had rented from another outfit that didn’t show up - Remko and his wife spent 3 hours helping to track down the other outfit, driving our friends to the other place, and all of this to help strangers who were not even customers!
Free mountain bikes were provided, and I used them a lot. Free GPS, very useful. Lots of bedding and extra comforters.
No hesitation at all, I will definitely call Kiwi Motorhomes for my next trip.

Kiwi autohomes was extremely helpful in our trip.
They really accommodated our family with airport pick-up and drop-off, car seats, travel tips and so on. Our campervan was very reliable, and brought us around the whole south island of NZ. I would definitely recommend Kiwi autohomes.

We had a number of problems with the camper van we rented (some mechanical, some in the living area).
However Kiwi Autohomes didn't argue about them and refunded the time it took to get them fixed and offered extra compensation for the annoyance. Having had a similar experience in Australia with a big company, I can say that the treatment we received was not comparable.

We would strongly advise anyone hiring from Kiwiautohomes to enquire as to what happens in the event of a breakdown, terminal in our case.
We were without a mobile van for 4 days while they decided what to do. In the end we had to drive ourselves back to Christchurch from Dunedin in a hire car and go to another company for a replacement van. We incurred a lot of extra expense which was worrying at the time and was not wholly refunded.

We have rented a campervan from KIWI Autohomes.
When we dropped oof the car (in good condition), the owner (Keran) promised to pay back the full deposit. But Keran does not refund the money. Still we are waiting for it. Keran does not react on mails anymore, so I fear the worst. Too late I read that we were not the first couple who had this experience with Keran.
So don't do business with this supplier. He seems to be an ordinary crook.

Decent experience in our Esprit campervan, which has seen its best years though.
Just make sure you check your tyres and the oil before you leave from Christchurch since the service partners of Kiwi Autohomes forgot it in our case, which caused a busted tyre throughout the trip, which the team got fixed for us in Queenstown though promptly after I put on the spare tyre.

Anything you need is taken care of. We were thoroughly delighted to have secured our motorhome for four months touring of New Zealand with Kiwi Autohomes. We needed new wiper blades and we got them immediately replaced and taken care of through Kiwi Autohomes. We highly recommend using this top notch company.

While the experienced was everything we expected the service provided by Keiran at kiwi motor whines was nothing short of perfect, he is genuine very friendly and you can feel every part of the family
I recently hired a home for nine days whilst on a holiday driving around New Zealand,
owned business in his business dealings, he even posted lost items back to us in Sydney. I highly recommend dealing with this small and caring business over any large corporate organisations.
