The place is very nice but it's $75 per person including overnight camping.
The staff are lovely and you can access the spa for 24 hours. They are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Stopped here last min decision as we had camped the night before on the tops.
Thought the price was a bit much 75$pp but this includes access to the pools and wellness activities. One hot pool session, morning yoga, nature walk and a sauna infusion later = fantastic value for money. Lacks a camp kitchen and rubbish facilities, not ideal for tents but would really recommend.

Very much trying to get on the modern trendy "wellness" band wagon.
If you don't buy into kombucha, saunas and feeling connected to the earth mother you might find yourself rolling your eyes alot.
The campsite isn't terrible, its fully gravel with some dividing trees, nice toilets, right on the statehighway but road noise isn't terrible. However we couldn't find any bins, and the sections were not flat. The showers were also on the other side of the plot. Can't imagine what it'd be like on the rock in a tent.
The pools were nice, four ~3m dia pools of roughly the same temperature containing lots of floating black "healing algae." They've got quite a nice view and are quite pretty.
The Japanese baths don't exist anymore and are being converted into showers.
Dinner and breakfast were both pretty decent, dinner quite small.
We paid $310 for one night camping, access to the pools, dinner, breakfast, and access to yoga and sauna classes.
Overall an interesting experience, but things like no cell coverage and $15 fee for WiFi usage, not being able to buy admission to the campsite and pool entry separately and the fact that we were told they were closing at 11am on our second day made the whole experience feel a bit of a "fake it till you make it" scam.

We stopped there as a last minute decision but in addition to being very expensive they told us that they no longer received tents so we had to look for another place.

This is an amazing place.
Do not listen to the reviews from several years ago- they are no longer relevant. Since the renovation this is an up-market and authentic spa experience.
The spas are the best we have used in New Zealand, comparable to the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua.
Self-contained camping spaces are spacious enough, not entirely private but well worth it for the scenery and the pools.
Highly recommended.

Since the new owners took over a few years ago, the springs has become a bit of a resort with camp sites, lodges and cabins. We thought it was an awesome hidden gem. The hot pools are not huge but it was spacious enough when we were there and the scenery is very beautiful. There's also great saunas and a cold plunge pool. The restaurant was great too.

A bit overpriced (due to renovation works) and sandflies around the location and the views are gorgeous and the new rock pools are very well done!
The interior is a bit out of date.

Would have been perfect if it were not for the sandflies.
All in all never experienced anything like it! IT IS A MUST.

Average hot pool experience, seemed expensive for only two 'hot' pools and a bathhouse.
Didn't particularly like the algae in the water and the mens changing room wasn't clean - big pool of water(?) on the toilet floor. Friendly staff. Wouldn't go again.

A pretty place to visit but far to expensive for a family of five to swim there.
$90 is way too much. Good coffee and excellent service in the cafe though.
