We had two numbers to call for pick up.
One had a message to call later and the other no one answered. Called multiple times while at the airport and finally gave up and rented from budget. Go charged me for the rental I never got.

Picked up at the Queenstown branch, which is just outside the terminal, less than a minutes walk.
The staff were great and our Corolla drove like a dream!

Absolutely genuine, caring staff who provide first class quality customer service at the branches (P/U at Ak Airport Branch and D/O at Ak City Branch) and on the phone when I called to extend my hire.
GO rentals made everything easy and stress free which made our holiday away that much more enjoyable and memorable.
Affordable prices which is worth every cent with how well you are well looked after.
The vehicle we rented was extremely comfortable, great looking newer model SUV and was fantastic to drive. Will only hire rentals from GO Rentals.

Every time I hire a car in NZ I choose GO Rentals, always get a new and clean car!
Love their APP can save all my info and save the papar! The shuttle driver of Auckland Airport is the best - so funny and help me to take care of my luggage!

We hired a car for 16 days, while travelling to Northland in NZ.
Service from collecting car at Auckland airport to returning 16 days later was excellent. Friendly, eficient, staff. Reasonable price. Would highly recomend this company .

I had to very quickly book a rental for an unexpected trip and was very pleased with the ease GO Rentals made the process.
In a matter of minutes I was booked with a very affordable rate and given clear details for pick up at Dunedin airport. The whole process was a breeze with lovely personnel ready to answer any question or sort any issues. Would definitely rent from GO again and have recommended them to my friends and family. I am glad they were recommended to me.

Great company - I used GO Rentals in Queenstown and found them so easy to use I did everything via their app and when I arrived they gave me the keys and I was on my way!
It was just as quick to return the car too. The staff are super friendly and gave me a few tips on where to find the best coffee - very helpful. I will be using GO on my next trip that's for sure!

As an expat kiwi returning home several times a year, GO Rentals has become my go to rental car company.
The cars have always been reliable, the staff are fantastic to deal with and checking in and out is a breeze. I particularly like that you and a company rep walk around the car together and make notes about any marks, damage etc. Everything is very transparent. Costs are reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

Ryan from Claims dept provided me with excellent service.
He followed up closely with the 350 excess claim which was withhold pending investigation into the truck that hit my car from rear. Though the other party claimed that I was at fault, Ryan was persistent. He put much effort to look for the company of the truck, speak to the insurance company of the company and get things sorted out. This is amazing! Now the excess has been returned to me.

Took ages wading through car rental options.
Read heaps reviews, good and bad. Contacted several companies with questions etc. Wanted a car for a month. One company was just not interested in helping us at all. Go Rentals answered all our questions, gave discount and added some small incentives. Was able to take car on ferry. Drop off at different location to pick up. Pick up and drop off were hassle free. Had a cracked windscreen during the trip, contacted them, bit of back and forth, as was after hours Friday night, but all sorted to suit us and our itinerary. No issues with car mechanics at all. Took us everywhere we wanted to go. Few chips and scratches on car at pick up, which made the whole trip less stressful. Would highly recommend taking out full insurance. Yes, in case you have an accident, but also lots of road works in NZ, chips, windscreen damage etc. inevitable. Extremely happy with our choice.

Auckland airport Go Rentals.
Great service, we were picked up at the time they said they would. Easy to ring and understand the person speaking to me. Lovely car, great deal . Open very early 4.30am and close late. Friendly service people only to willing to help .
It was quick and no fuss service. Would definetly use them again.

Prompt reply on quotation and follow up.
Rate is much cheaper than others.Booking process was easy and seamles effort of picking up and returning the car near airport with free transfer. Car model delivered as listed of less than 2 years. I am sure to use Go rental for New Zealand trip in near future an I will try it with another country if there is a chance. Thank you Go rental and staffs for their friendly and prompt communication providing me a simple booking process and enjoyable trip with a good car Corollar 1.8 sedan.

Appalling.
I paid for rental in advance. Hours before landing in New Zealand for car pick up, GO Rentals refused my hire because they wouldn't accept my valid current temporary Canadian drivers license. It doesn't state this anywhere on their site nor their rental agreement. They then kept nearly $500 of my deposit for a cancellation fee and related costs - on a rental they cancelled. I tried for weeks to resolve this + they don't care.
Their competition hired me the same vehicle with my same license at a better price.

Unfortunately, as per our Ts&Cs, we cannot accept temporary Driver Licences from overseas, these must be full valid and unrestricted. Unfortunately, without another main driver with a valid full Driver Licence, we wouldn't be able to proceed with this booking, therefore this would incur a 10% cancellation fee as per our Ts&Cs. Be VERY careful with these guys.
I have no problem paying tolls but they seperate tolls over a 4 day period to cover almost a month of dipping into my credit card to rip me off $,25.00 per rip off. No integrity but once burnt twice shy. Can't be trusted not to touch your credit card up.

• Go Rentals [NewZealand] are astute thieves.
They slap you with a 10% cancellation fees immediately (not even a wait period of 24 hours) even if the booking is made for 3 months in future without disclosing this information (buried somewhere deep in their fine print). This practice deviates from all standard practices of renting cars in New Zealand, where free cancellation, 24 hr cancellation, 48 hour cancellation or in some rare cases (such as Ace) even 14 days cancellation policy are in effect. They make every attempt to hide this information from you until you make the booking. They are a shame for kiwis and New Zealanders.

Got charged a cancellation fee even though I cancelled two weeks in advance and because of Omicron.
Never been charged cancellable fee from other rental car companies. Will rebook but not with them.

Rental car pickup from Queenstown Airport was quick and easy - depot located just across the road from the pick up/ drop off area.
