Rotorua Museum looks stunning from the outside.
The garden is definitely worth a visit. Despite from that there is nothing that is special and exclusive for Rotorua Museum.

great are also the free guided tours with audio equipment.

Not completely free but all superb and deserving of at least 1/2 a day each - fascinating history of NZ, NZs involvement in global war, natural history, highly recommend.

Rotorua Museum was excellent - really good displays on the town's spa history and also the history of the area generally.

Simply brilliant.
Beautiful architecture, stunning gardens and fasinating displays. A definate must do in Rotorua. The cafe is very good too!

We did the guided museum tour which was great.
We were shown around by a lovely lady who told us brilliant stories about maori culture and history.
