Glacier Country Helicopters is a local family, owned and operated company. Husband and wife duo Poppy and Gus Gordon who are both commercial pilots started the company in 2014. You’ll find them at the hangar or flying one our helicopters most days.

Our friendly team are certified Qualmark Gold, have received the Traveller’s Choice Award several years and look forward to showing you the glaciers, rainforests and mountains that form our incredible back yard.

Weather:
If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

All passengers and any gear will be weighed at check in. If you are 120kg or over, you will be required to book a comfort seat (the cost is half the RRP of your flight).
Do you have limited mobility e.g. injury, arthritis, or recent surgery? There are two high ladder style steps into the helicopter. This information could affect what helicopter you fly you in.Please let us know as you proceed through checkout.
Flights require a minimum of 4 pax to depart. Solo travellers & smaller bookings are welcomed, and we will aim to pair you up with another booking.
Bad weather refunds: If your experience is cancelled by the operator (due to weather) you will be entitled to a full refund. Your booking is only valid for the time & route you have booked. If the flight time or route you booked is unable to go ahead your booking will not be able to be rescheduled or transferred to an alternative route or flight time.
Snow Landing: All routes and snow landings are subject to change at short notice including during the flight. If you are unable to snow land due to weather conditions and your flight is turned into an overflight (total time will be reduced by your snow landing time) you will be refunded the landing fee of $30 per person.
Cancellation policy: All bookings are non-transferable and cancellations must be made 24hours in advance or 100% cancellation fee will apply.
