Turned up in Franz Josef without booking - which I wouldn't recommend! However, went to the book shop and inquired about the flight with a ski landing on the Tasmin glacier. Craig, the pilot, asked us when we wanted to go and then met us at the airfield (10 mins away from town). We subsequently had the aircraft to ourselves.

The flight was superb, the scenery needs no spurios description from me!

The landing - well I'm in the military and have flown in helicopters all over the world - landing a ski plane on the glacier totally different. What an experience not to be missed - let the other 'tourist' crowd go by helicopter - fly fixed wing.

Craig was knowledgeable, experienced and made my wife feel totally at ease. His flying skills are great and he is obviously used to nervous flyers. The land on and take off were, for me, a fantastic unique experience. Slick, efficient, safe and amazing fun!! Do it!!
