Pipi Walk

Pipi Walk

Information

2 km return | 30 minutes return

This pleasant walk through coastal beech forest follows the initial stages of the Nydia tramping track. Pipi Beach is a sheltered tranquil spot. The small shingle beach is rimmed with pipi shells. Relatives of the former occupants obviously thrive in the clear shallow waters nearby. This is a superb spot for a picnic and swim.

Access

800 metres north of Rai Valley on SH6, turn into Opouri Road, signposted Okiwi Bay and French Pass. 600 metres from the junction turn right into Opouri Road and keep going the 27 km to Duncan Bay. Head right following signs to Nydia Track and continue to the parking area at the road end.

Track
