I work at the Opononi i-site ,my partner and I did this fantastic trip. The people we're so lovely , helpful .The food was a BBQ on the most beautiful beach that I have never seen before .Our guide was full of interesting advise and knowledge .A tip of a lifetime , picked up , dropped off , everything set up .The highlight of our day ,the boarding down the dune's .My partner came flying down straight into the creek ,me I did it at a lesser pace , didn't even get wet.
Tour from Kaitaia to Cape Regina and 90 Mile Beach. Very good value to money balance but really touristic, not enough time at the stops.
We booked for only $50 per person, a bus tour to Cape Reinga including a walk through Gum Diggers Park (interesting!). An informative Maori guide and sand boarding - it has been a nice day!
Nice trip and really cheap! But sometimes too short a time.
For the price the whole tour was super plus the cookies have been so tasty.

To Cape Reinga by bus along the shore and surfing down the sand dunes.
Despite the rainy & windy weather we had a very enjoyable trip.
Senny began the day with a very funny introduction and continued to give us very interesting and detailed facts and stories as we drove. The Maori stories he told of past warriors and legends really gave a fascinating perspective on the area.
A wonderful tour to the wonderful Cape Reinga...thanks for the songs Senny :)
Sunny is the best driver, but Gumdiggers Village isn't that interesting.
Oldest bus as ever seen
Cape Reinga and ninety mile beach trip. Brilliant service with a very knowledgable and interesting guide. History cultute and singing worth the money.

Great tour, we had awesome weather and an informative guide (thanks Doug).
Highly recommend this :)
Funny guide and interesting tour.
We recently thoroughly enjoyed a trip from Kaitaia to Cape Reinga with Sand Safaris. Our driver was great fun, he had an amazing knowledge of the area and he made the day very enjoyable. There were interesting stops and the inclusion of the tour at the Gumdiggers Village was great. The scenery was absolutely stunning and our day with Sand Safaris was the highlight of our trip to Northland. We have already recommended the tour to family, friends and colleagues. Good guide, but the bus was old and past its best. It was a great day though despite the weather. A comprehensive northlands tour that takes in all the sites. The weather was bad on our trip - we saw another coach slide off the road but our humourous and informative guide kept our spirits up and the bus on the road.
Very entertaining, nice guide, but bus broke down (old vehicle), would have enjoyed more time on the 90-mile-beach to walk a distance.
Superb guide (Dave) - great storyteller - cheap tours including lunch and drinks. 90 Mile Beach - whole day trip.

The guide was great. Could improve lunch.
Tour to Cape Reinga, funny driver.
Well organised, nice lunch, great location stop offs.
Great bus driver, Maori with a special kind of humor, singing in Maori and translating a lot. It was great.
Good driver who told us ots of Maori stories and sang songs. Environmentally and culturally knowledgeable. Value for money is good.
This is a cool place to see. Our guide wasn't that good.
