The Bob's Bay track (30 minutes return) is an easy walk that follows the coastline from Shelley Beach to Bob's Bay.

05Oct18. A nice walk in the bush to the beach. Take care, there have been a few slips on the way.
It joins up with the Snout Track, see separate review.
Beautiful views of Picton harbour and hills. Moderately difficult walk, but well worth it to Bob's Bay. We were sorry we did not bring a picnic!

Nice place for a morning run. Can be busy later in the day.
Beautiful lake, we were quasi alone - very quiet.
A nice easy stroll, with great views over the harbour.
Recommended by personnel at Endeavour Express. Lovely walk through native bush.
1 hour return walk. See ferry from Wellington docking at Picton.
A reasonable short walk, but Bob's Bay was underwhelming. Not really sure it was worth the effort, but OK to pass an hour or so.
Thanks to all the good people working for the NZ Department of Conservation - for all your hard work - making NZ more beautiful, accessable and healthy! Cheers 😍
